Digimon Adventure tri.: Future Streams on Crunchyroll

The sixth and final Digimon Adventure tri. film, Future, premiered on Crunchyroll on Friday in four separate episodes, similar to the other films.

Opening in Japan on Saturday, the film will screen for three weeks and theaters screening Future are selling a limited-edition Blu-ray Disc. The film did release online on the same day, but comes with an additional fee.

The previous Digimon Adventure tri. films debuted in Japan as well:

  • Chapter 1: Reunion - November 2015
  • Chapter 2: Determination - March 2016
  • Chapter 3: Confession - September 2016
  • Chapter 4: Loss - February 2017
  • Chapter 5: Coexistence - September 30

As with Future, Crunchyroll began streaming each film on the same day they premiered in Japan, and Shout! Factory also released the first four films on DVD and Blu-ray.

The United States will not be left out, as the English dub of the fourth, fifth, and sixth films will be screening in the U.S. thanks to Fathom Events and Toei Animation. While Loss already screened on Feb. 1, Coexistence will screen on May 10, and Future will screen on Sept. 20. Screenings for all films are scheduled at 7:30 p.m. local time.

Although the film series is ending, Digimon Adventure tri.: Future announced a new Digimon project and their twitter posted posted a photo with the text "The adventure evolves again━A new project starts!"
