First Look at Diablo 3 Season 13

Blizzard announced Diablo 3's thirteenth season, including a new armor set, cosmetics, and some new and reoccurring challenges. The thirteenth season starts on Friday, February 23 at 5:00 PM PST.

The new armor sets are specific to each class, much like the last couple seasons. Players must participate to receive part of Haedrig’s Gift. Opening a single gift will grant two pieces of armor for the class that the item is unlocked with.

To unlock the full sets, players must complete chapter two, three, and four and open the gifts with the same character. Everyone gets only one unlock for a full class set in both Hardcore and Non-Hardcore, so it’s recommended that players know which one they want first.

From left to right: Monk, Demon Hunter, Barbarian, Wizard, Crusader, Witch Doctor, Necromancer.

This season, players will see the Helm and Shoulder slots for the Conqueror Set, receive a new portrait frame, and a not-so-cuddly teddy bear as a pet.

The portrait frame will be themed around Imperius, hosting an angelic outer edge with Imperius’ weapon on the left. The pet is the player’s very own Blaine’s Bear, complete with sharp, pointy weapons covered in blood.

Making a comeback are some of the old challenges from previous seasons, including Speed Racer, Lionhearted, Masters of the Universe, and several more. Conquests are meant as a goal that immortalizes the player on a leaderboard for that particular season.

Usually, the first one thousand or so players to complete a challenge will be given a spot on the leaderboards for the world to see. Conquests are first come, first served, so players need to get out there fast, and complete those challenges.
